Matte Paintings are the images behind the action, the worlds and scenes that are too difficult, too distant, or simply too weird and expensive to actually make. The irony is that if they are any good at all you won't even notice them...
The work I do involves combining photography, painting & collage with 3d elements, effects, physical models and compositing to create either still images or full 3d environments.
