Duties involved all aspects of the creation of digital matte paintings, from creating the conceptual designs and production illustrations to building the matte paintings to supervising the final compositing.
Aspects of this were: working with the supervisor and production designer to design the matte paintings and to determine the most efficient way of integrating sets with digital set extensions * scouting locations for filming * sourcing filmed reference materials, photographing set and reference materials as required * commissioning, art directing, and building physical and 3d models required for matte painting elements * supervising the filming of elements required for compositing * commissioning and art directing over flow matte paintings from vendors * breaking down scripts, following production schedules, scheduling and coordinating compositing sessions involving matte paintings * executing and supervising final compositing sessions involving matte paintings * created a database to track projects.
~ Nominated for three Emmys and two Gemini Awards for Best Visual Effects in a television series.
~ Credited as co-Supervisor of Visual Effects with James Tichenor for the episode 'Beneath the Surface', July 2000.
